About This Project:
This Web site, built to promote historian Richard Brookhiser’s What Would the Founders Do? Our Questions Their Answers, imagined what six of the U.S.A.’s Founding Fathers would have spent their time sounding off about had they lived in the age of the Blog.
In addition to standard book content features (e.g.: description, excerpt, author bio, reviews), the site included:
- Database-driven author tour page, updated by the publisher through a Web-based content-management system.
- "What If?" Blogs for Alexander Hamilton, Ben Franklin, John Adams, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. Each Blog was designed and built around third-party software from Blogger.com, a free service the author could use to write them, publish updates to the live site, and respond to visitor comments independently, through Web-based tools.
